Pilgangoora Lithium Project

Key Highlights

  • 100% Wildcat-owned Pilgangoora North Project, strategically located in the Pilbara Lithium Province.
  • Historic workings include tantalum deposits, with confirmed pegmatite outcrops.
  • Proximity to major projects such as Pilbara Minerals’ Pilgangoora Project and Wildcat’s Bolt Cutter East.
  • High exploration potential with further systematic exploration and drilling planned.

Project Overview

The Pilgangoora Lithium Project (E45/6155) is a highly prospective lithium asset in WA’s world-renowned Pilbara region. Covering 313km² of 100% Wildcat-owned tenements, the project is strategically positioned along the Pilgangoora Fault, just 10km north of Pilbara Minerals’ 309Mt Pilgangoora Lithium Project and 10km south of Wildcat’s Bolt Cutter East Lithium Project.

The Pilgangoora North tenement is known for its historic tantalum workings, including the Trigg Well Tantalum workings, and is highly prospective for lithium mineralisation. Previous exploration by Metalicity Ltd identified fractionated LCT (lithium-caesium-tantalum) pegmatites, while recent reconnaissance by Wildcat confirmed the presence of outcropping pegmatites, demonstrating the project’s potential for significant lithium discovery.

Location & Infrastructure

Tier-1 Location: Situated in one of the world’s premier lithium-producing regions, Pilgangoora North is surrounded by several large-scale lithium operations, including Pilgangoora and Wodgina.

Close to Port: The project is located just 110km from the major export hub at Port Hedland, providing access to world-class mining infrastructure and logistics.

Geology & Exploration

Pilgangoora North is characterised by its location along the Pilgangoora Fault, a major structure associated with significant lithium deposits. Historic exploration identified highly prospective pegmatite systems, and the presence of alluvial tantalum workings further reinforces the area’s mineral potential.

Exploration activities to date have included mapping, rock chip sampling, and initial reconnaissance, with early results confirming fractionated LCT pegmatites. Future exploration will include detailed mapping, sampling, and drilling to fully unlock the potential of this highly promising lithium project.
